Who We Are
Amy Selib Dowell, Partner
Previously the Executive Director of Democrats for Education Reform CT (DFER CT) and Education Reform Now CT (ERN CT), Amy has been a leading partner for over a decade in legislative solutions that impact students and families. She is a skilled government affairs and communications leader, and her work has garnered significant budgetary and legislative wins, and dozens of media mentions in statewide and national outlets. Amy has driven successful advocacy campaigns that have impacted every district in Connecticut—including overhauling the state education funding formula in 2017 and advancing a comprehensive 2021 literacy bill, "Right to Read." Through nearly two decades of political work, Amy also served on mayoral, gubernatorial, and statewide office campaigns in New York and Connecticut, as well as two cycles at the federal level at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).
Nicki Golos, Partner
Nicki Golos was previously the Deputy Director of Democrats for Education Reform CT (DFER CT) and Education Reform Now CT (ERN CT), and the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Connecticut Council for Education Reform (CCER). Nicki is committed to mission-driven equity work—having played an integral role in the creation of Connecticut's Alliance Districts, and worked to conceptualize and advance Connecticut’s "Right to Read” legislation. Nicki received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and lives in Woodbridge with her husband, two kids, and dog.
